Timber frame construction, feather edge timber cladding. Reinforced felt shingles. Factory painted windows and doors. Insulated all round with thermal and acoustic insulation. Plaster boarded and skimmed internally.

Here we have an artists studio we supplied and constructed near Penzance, Cornwall. It is a timber frame construction. Fully insulated. Pressure treated feather edge external timber cladding. Slate roof with two velux windows. Plaster boarded and skimmed ceiling. Plywood walls which will be painted white by the customer. He can’t wait to get in and start using the building.

It has 44mm thick wall logs. Reinforced felt shingles on the roof. Inward opening tilt and turn windows. The customer has done an excellent job of painting it insaide and outside. What a great garden building.

Timber frame house extension, cedar clad, Polzeath, Cornwall

This is a timber frame house extension did in Polzeath, Cornwall.

It is a one bedroom extension built to meet current building regulations. The roof is lsate and the exterior timber cladding is cedar. A very popular cladding that requires zero maintenance.

Internally the walls are plasterboarded and skimmed. Windows and doors are softwood casement style.

The owners moved their aga from the existing cottage and installed it into the extension giving them more room in the cottage.

Fistral Beach Cabin, Newquay, Cornwall

We are making good progress on this cabin for Fistral beach, Newquay. Once complete it will be a clothes shop and a food outlet. Check it out next time you are in Newquay.

We were asked to provide the timber frame, cedar cladding, insulation, roof structure and the windows and doors. The ground works, base, roof slating, electrics and plumbing were by others.

7.0m x 6.0m Garage with studio above. Bodmin, Cornwall.

Here is a 7.0m x 6.0m garage with studio above. It is a timber frame construction to full buildings regulations for residential use.

The double garage has an automated garage door, opening into a fully insulated and plasterboared garage area.

Externally the garage is clad with pressure treated featheredge redwood. The roof has four velux roof lights and a small kitchen area. There is also a shower room with basin and W.C.

Windows and doors are handmade in Cornwall and there is a fantstic floor to ceiling feature window on the entrance wall. The exterior staircase has glass panels underneath the handrails.

We have just finished this 4.5m x 7.0m, 43mm, fully insulated cabin in Devon.

It features lots of glass on the front and a mezzanine level. All the windows and doors are factory treated and painted.
