These two buildings were built to provide toilet and shower facilities for a local campsite. They were constructed in our workshop, pre-fitted with all electrics and plumbing, and delivered to site on a trailer. Steel beams built into the base allow the buildings to be picked-up by telehandler and lifted into position.

One building provides three individual shower rooms and the other provides a disabled accessible shower room, a kitchen and plant room with LPG water heater.

Hotel Staff Accommodation, North Devon

In 2016 we built a log cabin to provide staff accommodation at a large hotel. In 2018 we came back and built a timber frame extension to add a further 11 bedrooms.

North Coast Log Cabins oversaw all elements of the build from start to finish.

Timber frame construction, feather edge timber cladding. Reinforced felt shingles. Factory painted windows and doors. Insulated all round with thermal and acoustic insulation. Plaster boarded and skimmed internally.

The Cornish Birds Of Prey Centre, Winards Perch, Cornwall

Twenty Three Eco Friendly Two and Three Bedroom Holiday Lodges for Sale

The Cornish Birds of Prey Centre are a family partnership of four people, Kelly, Andy, Kath and Mick. In the autumn of 2011 we built the first of 28 cabins for them.

Twenty are to be sold to fund an indoor flying area and an education centre and the remainder would be let as holiday homes giving them an income to support the bird of prey centre and animal park.

Pior to the construction they have consulted with Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Natural England, The Environment Agency, Acorn Ecology and South West Water, and will continue to do so through each stage of the development.

The two and three bedroom lodges are constructed using ecological techniques including a choice of grass, sedum or cedar tile roofs and electricity from photovoltaic panels on the roof. Underfloor heating and hot water is provided using an air source heat pump and the sewage disposal is via a reed bed.

The first two bedroom lodge is now complete and available to view.

The accommodation is as follows:-

Art gallery and residential, St Just, Cornwall

We were very happy to be asked by a local artisit to construct this new art gallery, with residential accomodation above, in St Just, Cornwall.

The construction is timber frame. The first floor exterior is clad with cedar. The ground floor exterior is mainly rendered over the timber frame. The front of the building is a clad in stone and makes the building look very traditional.

Internally there is a polished concrete floor and the whole of the inside is finished in plasterboard and plastered and painted.

Fistral Beach Cabin, Newquay, Cornwall

We are making good progress on this cabin for Fistral beach, Newquay. Once complete it will be a clothes shop and a food outlet. Check it out next time you are in Newquay.

We were asked to provide the timber frame, cedar cladding, insulation, roof structure and the windows and doors. The ground works, base, roof slating, electrics and plumbing were by others.
